    After finally redesigning my website, I learned about the importance of a good grid layout and applied the little bit I learned to my site (960px wide). Please review the site (see attached images--one with grid, one without) and advise. I would like to hear all comments and helpful criticism on font choice, logo position, text kerning, spacing, font size, and general layout and color/tone choice. Am I on track with a good design here? If not, what areas could be improved?

    In case the images below are too small, here are the higher res versions:

    With grid: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4034/4211719566_c1e3f4d2d9_o.jpg

    Happy Holidays!

    The following comments are my own personal opinion;

    1) The company logo is too small. I would advise taking another two columns to the right of it.

    2) The secondary navigation breaks the box model. You have 7 links, none of which align to any of the columns. You could align each of the links up to a column and still have a spare column between the navigation and the form. (there are 8 columns).

    3) No Title! There is no title on this page. Perhaps one could be placed next to the main navigation, or on the picture itself. The title doesn't need to be the company name, but descriptive of what the company does. (From a distance there is no context to the web site, from the main picture this website could be selling furniture. Remember people make decisions in a split second. If they believe this site is not relevant (rightly or wrongly) they will leave. Ensuring the customer knows instantly what this site is about can do wonders for lowering your bounce rate)
